Executive Director Frankie Roberts was recognized by the City of Wilmington’s Commission on African American History as one of seven living legends during a celebration on July 27, 2019.
Frankie was one of seven recipients selected for their outstanding leadership, keen vision to help people succeed in life, professional contributions, many accomplishments improving our community, and making it a better place for all of us to live.

The event celebrated the mission of the Commission which is to plan, develop and implement community projects that recognize and increase awareness of the contributions of African Americans to Wilmington’s history; to encourage and assist African American history; and to recognize sites in the community that are significant to African American History.
