Part 3: The Impact of Community Based Organizations on Homelessness and Housing Insecurity

Individuals with a criminal record often face compounding barriers to housing, including discriminatory policies, economic insecurity, and weak social ties. These barriers all work together to keep justice-involved individuals from obtaining housing and stability. Being unsheltered increases recidivism; housing resources provided by community-based organizations ease reentry. read more
