North Carolina First Lady Anna Stein Visits LINC to Champion Second Chances
LINC, Inc. was honored to welcome North Carolina First Lady Anna Stein to the Marvin E. Roberts Transitional Living Campus as part of her statewide initiative to highlight rehabilitation, restoration, and second chances for individuals returning from incarceration. Her visit underscores a growing commitment across North Carolina to strengthen support systems that help formerly incarcerated men and women successfully reintegrate into their communities through stable housing, employment, education, and life skills.
During her tour of the campus, First Lady Stein met with LINC leadership, staff, and program participants to learn more about the organization’s comprehensive reentry model. She visited residential facilities, learned about workforce development and supportive services, and heard firsthand from individuals whose lives have been transformed through LINC’s programs. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the impact of the Marvin E. Roberts Transitional Living Campus and the critical role it plays in reducing recidivism while restoring hope, dignity, and independence.
LINC is grateful to First Lady Stein for shining a spotlight on the importance of rehabilitation and successful reentry. Her willingness to listen to the experiences of those rebuilding their lives reinforces the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to succeed after incarceration. Together, through strong community partnerships and continued investment in evidence-based reentry programs, North Carolina can continue creating safer communities while empowering individuals to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
