HAPPY THANKSGIVING!All of us at LINC want you to know how much we appreciate you and are thankful for your support of our efforts in attempts to educate and motivate youth to make positive life choices and to empower men and women returning from incarceration to be productive members of our community.
LINC SHARES WITH OUR COMMUNITY
This past week, residents from LINC’s transitional living facility picked, processed and delivered their hand grown collards, mustard greens, turnip greens and three varieties of sweet potatoes to the good folks at Northside Food Co-Op. At Frankie’s Market, people came to buy the produce we shared with the Northside Food Co-Op in an effort to show our appreciation of the service they provide and also help give back to those in need in one of Wilmington’s Food Deserts
LINC operates an urban farm to provide healthy, high quality, sustainably grown, and affordable food to residents of the M.E. Roberts Transitional Living Campus, and to residents and businesses in the greater New Hanover County community. The farm is managed and operated by our residents.
The Urban Farm provides hands-on work for residents upon arrival at the M.E. Roberts Transitional Living Campus. Residents obtain skills that can be transferred into entrepreneurial opportunities and employment, as well as learning how different elements of the farm and society work together for the greater good for our community.
Support LINC’s Work – We Believe in Second Chances!
Please show your support for the new beginnings and Second Chances we provide for individuals, families and communities at LINC!Your financial contribution will help change a life.Thank you in advance for your CONTRIBUTION
